“There is grandeur in this view of life… from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.”
– Charles Darwin

Tiny brown bullhead on a fisheries field expedition, New Hampshire, 2014.
Since I was a child I have been enthralled by the natural world. Despite – or perhaps, in spite of – growing up in downtown Toronto, and never having had a pet, I developed a fondness for animals and an appreciation for the diversity of life on this planet.
I just completed my M. Sc. in the lab of Njal Rollinson. My project investigated temperature dependent sex determination and timing of developmental events in a Northern population of the Common Snapping Turtle, Chelydra serpentina.
I’m now doing my Ph. D. in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Hutchings.
